Last year, Kulanu contributed to the start of Tikkun Olam’s lunch program. This mini-grant to Global Village Connect allowed the school to purchase three acres of land and to plant crops. The recently harvested peanuts and eggplants are being served to the students for lunch. Another two acres of land was just purchased and the school is starting to cultivate that as well as it is now the beginning of planting season.
