Who We Are

At Kulanu, our goal is simple: to empower every Jewish community with the resources and support they need to thrive and connect with the global Jewish family.

Mission Statement

Kulanu supports isolated, emerging,
and returning Jewish communities
around the globe.

Vision Statement

Kulanu envisions an inclusive, mutually supportive, worldwide Jewish peoplehood embracing individuals and communities engaged in Jewish life

Kulanu, Hebrew for “All of Us,” isn’t just our name – it’s our promise.

History and Global Future

Founded in 1994 by Jack and Diane Zeller, Kulanu has evolved from a small living room gathering of volunteers into a thriving global network of Jewish communities.

Over 30 years, we’ve professionalized, broadened our focus, and embraced technology, to foster partnerships worldwide. Now active in communities from 30+ nations, from the Lemba Jews in Zimbabwe to communities in India, Ghana, and Peru, we provide resources, forge connections, and celebrate diverse Jewish identities.

Fueled by the belief that no Jewish community should stand alone, Kulanu has bridged geographical and cultural divides, fostering a deep sense of belonging and shared identity among Jews from all walks of life.

As needs evolve, we adapt, now focusing on engaging young adults and building a sustainable future for generations to come.

After unimaginable hardship in the diaspora, Jewish communities are thriving anew in Africa, South America, and India. I’m thrilled that Kulanu is part of this vibrant rebirth, connecting Jews worldwide and igniting a new era of shared strength and renewal.
